NORthview's 2019 WAX MUSEUM:
BRinging history to life
By: Kristen hArriott
WHat Is a wax museum?
As one of the most looked forward to events of the year, Northview's "Wax Museum" features our school's rising theater department in their unique presentation of historical figures. In the show, actors are meant to memorize a small scene, between 30 seconds to 3 minutes long, that showcase an aspect about their chosen figure's lives. Gathered together in our theater, they then create their own mini-scenes and freeze into a beginning pose, resembling wax figures, until our students visit and "activate" their character by stating a statement written on the sign next to them. Truly something to witness at least once, our "Wax Museum" is a long running tradition for the theater department, and its spectacular show this year only hints to the greatness that is yet to come.
