Q: I have a piece of art, how do I submit it online?
For submissions that do not have an online version, you can either stop by Mrs. Pope's room in room 509 to have your art digitally scanned, or you can scan your art yourself and send to our email: [email protected].
Q: If I decide to hand in A physical copy to be scanned, will I get it back?
Yes! All physical copies, whether it be writing or art, will be handed back unless preferred otherwise.
Q: What is the theme for 2019-2020?
We are still determining a theme for the current school year. Please watch our bulletin board outside the 400 hall where we plan to post our theme and submission applications. You can also submit online so keep checking the website. We can't wait to see what you will submit!
Q: What type of art do you accept?
We accept everything ranging from a musical composition to a haiku! If you're unsure whether your piece is a type of work we accept, please stop by the Lit Mag room, 509, and we'll let you know!
Q: How long will it take until I know if i was accepted?
The entire critiquing process can take anywhere from two to three weeks, so start to look out for your acceptance email about a month after submission. All selected artists will get an email regarding their acceptance, as well as free entrance to our release party.
Q: Can I submit videos?
Although it may seem like we can't, we do accept video submissions! Any videos submitted have the ability to be featured on our website. Submit your video with a small blurb about it, what inspired you to create it, and your name to our email address: [email protected].
Q: How do i become featured on the website?
If you want to be featured on the website, or have a submission you wish to be shown on the website, please submit an application during the school-wide art search, and check the "Allow on Website" box! If you have a submission you prefer to only be on the website, write a note on your application, or email us at [email protected].
Throughout the year, we also host community projects where we search for artists to interview and feature on our website. If you are interested in being interviewed, let one of the staff members know, or stop by the Lit Mag room and drop a note!

Q: I want a lit mag! How do i get one?
If you ordered a publication package at the beginning of the year, The Muse is part of the package! If you didn't, simply go talk to one of the current staff members about purchasing one, or stop by our room: Mrs. Pope, 509!
Q: How much is the lit mag?
The Muse is only $10 ! Each copy will be personalized with your name and hand delivered to your language arts classroom! The only available payments as of now are by cash or check.
Q: How do i Become A PArt of lit mag?
Nearer to the end of the year, we will put out applications to apply to be a part of The Muse! You will be asked to submit one to two pieces of art, as well as one to two pieces of writing. We judge all applicants based on the quality of their work, not by name. We welcome everyone to apply and are always willing to accept a new face into our family!
